We are on a journey in this life for the spiritual growth of our soul... our immortal soul, and it is our soul that guides us on this journey. Just how aware we are of this guidance along with our level of conscious participation speaks to our level of enlightenment.
At times we encounter people who might serve as guides along our path offering us direction. Some potential guides will offer shortcuts, which are simply sidesteps without necessarily any forward or backward movement. A true guide on a soul journey will help you articulate your own questions, find your own answers and allow you to make your own choices.
There are also many truly helpful methods to assist us in the world of metaphysics, just be careful not to allow them to become your religion. You've probably heard the saying "Life is about the journey, not the destination." You'll eventually find that where you are is right where you need to be. There's something to learn every step of the way, and learning to 'be' in your experiences will bring you closer to your destination... until you realize the journey and the destination are one in the same.
